Meet Neobohaiornis lamadongensis which is a new enantiornithine bird that looked a lot like modern Birds but they're actually pretty different they lived right alongside dinosaurs and retained a lot of their more ancestral characteristics like teeth and hand claws this little guy was found near what's now China and lived about 119 million years ago what really makes it stand out is that so far it's the smallest of the bohaiornithids at only 50 g it also reportedly has the best preserved plumage of its clay and it seems like it was probably a more refined flyer than a lot of its close relatives.
